Notes

First Place

Summer Co-ed Sunday Afternoon Kickball at Montavilla Park

It was a hot and sweaty playoff day complete with two great games. First, in the semifinal Mr. Team and Redballs and Vodka came out with fire to match run for run in each inning. Both teams played solid defense and took it down to the wire. It was 5-5 in the seventh before the last out off the inning was recorded bringing it to extras. In the bottom of the eighth, Redballs came through with the winning run to seal a birth in the Championship. The Championship game was well played and competitive in each inning. It was the solid pitching and power of the Redballs team that would be the difference in the match. Redballs pitcher Kevin W. came up with a few big hits and RBIs for the close 8-7 victory. Poke and Pray gave it all they had but ended up running out of time. Great sportsmanship from all teams made this day a cool relief in the dreadful heat.

POTW: Kevin Worrell

Redballs and Vodka

Kevin Worrell made a huge difference in his team's success today. His great pitching and solid kicking helped win it for Redballs and Vodka. Whether it was making a great snag on line drives back to the mound or crushing RBI doubles, Kevin was a major factor for the kickball Champs.
