It was a battle between the two Indy teams for the championship with Three Fingered Sumthingoranothers pulling off the victory to take the Blazer tickets. Woody's Peckers put up a great fight - fitting considering they were wearing their fatigues - and were within striking distance with the help of Dave's first six frames being all strikes. The tropical heat radiating from the Hawaiian shirts and leis from TFS proved too much in the end while Brad and Christina put up matching scores in the championship game.
In the race for third place Steve led the way for the co-workers team of I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter and shot down the cowboys and indians of Splits Not Swallows. You could definitely tell that both teams had great spirits through the inevitable lane malfunctions that Splits Not Swallows seems to have following them weekly. The Twins showed their boy scout skills from high school with that impressive headgear that turned everyone's heads.
The only veteran team of Gutter Perfection showed they're not in the gutter when it comes to having fun themselves though. Five pitchers of beer were ordered for them and some friends by frame 5 of the 1st game!
It was a fitting night to a wonderful season at Valley Lanes with teams pretty much finishing the championships in the same order as the regular season standings. Everyone should have a chance to turn the tables on Three Fingered Sumthingoranothers though as it looks like all teams will be returning for the late Fall season starting in a few weeks.
Most creative 80's night costumes - although only one wore something that you would have seen in the 80's (Jerry Rice jersey) you both still actually had numbers on your jersey's that were in the 80's.
