After a long night of lane changes, uncooperative scoreboards, and espiritus randomitus, Wishful Thinking and Hardcore XXX steal first and second places from two heavily favored veterans, Log Jammers and Kunundrum.
Log Jammers finally fell apart after a great two seasons of bowling giving Hardcore XXX a chance to take away their dreams of another championship. Hardcore XXX jumped on the chance with a great 577 team game, their best of the season.
On the other side of the lanes, Kunundrum was unable to pull their usually tight game together. Wishful Thinking was able to take game 1 with a 541, which if I remember correctly, is an average score for Kunundrum's, John.
The battle for third between rivals, Log Jammers and Kunundrum, turned out to be a great showdown. Eric A. of Log Jammers and John of Kunundrum were both able to cap out their scores, leaving the remaining members to fight it out. The game stayed close throughout, but it was Kunundrum who took 3rd by a mere 35 team pins.
The match up for the BTB Late Spring Wednesday crown was then left to two indy teams, Wishful Thinking and Hardcore XXX. Wishful Thinking, donned in their finest Cowpoke outfits, kept pulling in the Turkeys and Spurkeys. Hardcore XXX tried valiantly to keep their ball rolling as well as in the first match, but just couldn't keep it up. Wishful Thinking's Becky rolled an impressive 173, leading her team to a mere 25 point victory!
On the no-tap lanes, Blue Ballers and TBD fought through some crazy scoreboard shinanigans, but were able to pull through their first game of madness within one No-Tap of eachother. A big game 2 from Blue Ballers brought a whopping five coupons for a Big No-Tap Turkey and pushed them far ahead of TBD for the No-Tap crown.
No sweat for TBD, though, as they pulled in the most spirit coupons throughout the season with their great costumes, unique approaches, celebratory hilarity, and good times all around. All hail our Spirit Champions, TBD!
Another great night of BTB bowling! Can't wait to see all of you in the coming seasons!
Debbie's excitement in her strikes, spares, and even nearly closed frames showed itself in the form of dancing, screaming, lovingly blowing kisses to the lane, and so much more. Her first Turkey and a great first team game for her team really got her going throughout the entire night. Great times, Debbie. Can't wait to see the shinanigans in the coming weeks!
