On a perfect fall day, the Day Donkeys ride some hot glove work and timely hitting all the way to the championship.
In the first game, The Perfect Strangers outlasted the Slumdog Ballers to reach the championship game due to some timely defense and 2 big offensive inning.
In the second game, the Day Donkeys shut down the powerful Going Yard offense to set up a show down between the two top seeded teams.
The championship game started off awesome, with 5 lead changes in the first 5 innings. Day Donkey was able to get ahead in the 5th and played some shut down defense to seal the championship.
Just an all around awesome day for the Donkeys
Zach simply had a phenominal day of softball today. Despite playing with a pulled muscle in his leg, he was able to leg out one double after another and was the catalyst for the Donkey's offense. Zach was also a clamp down defender at shortstop - gunning runners out left and right.
