In the final night of the Wednesday bowlin', Incredibowls we're indeed just that. After dispatching a wiley Up Your Alley team in game #1 by just a few pins - Incredibowls cranks up the heat, and music, to meet up with the Brutal Bowler in the finals.
Before we get to that, it should be noted that we had quite the contest for Spirit Champions this season with two teams topping 30 spirit tickets each. But in the end, Incredibowls with the mobile dance party, great attitudes and high level costumes rolled into the Spirit Hall of Fame with what we believe is a new single season record of 40 spirit coupons.
But I digress. Back to the playoffs where The Brutal Bowlers met a Log Jammin Crew for their semi-final match. Despite 5 -100+ games from the Log Jammin' Crew, Brutal Bowers were just a tad too Brutal and escaped the match behind a solid 173 from Brutal Dave.
That set up the aforementioned Brutal/Incredi championship, but you would not have known it by the looks of the Incredibowls team. Did they get nervous, no. Did they back down to the long standing Brutal Bowlers team.. .no. They cranked up the speakers and focused on the task at hand. And what was that task again? By the looks of it, dancin'. And dance they did, all they way to sweeping both the coveted Spirit Award and BTB championship!
Way to go Incredibowls, Brutal Bowlers, Up Your Alley and Log Jammin Crew. Thanks for a great season.
Last Wednesday's mustache night brought some greatness in facial hair last Wednesday, but it was Incredibowls who brought the mustache party! With a full team of staches, a boom box and some sweet moves they attracted members of other leagues to join in the festivities and even got to paint on a mustache or two for neighboring bowlers. Nicely done, Incredibowls!
While You Stole Our Name! falls from their usual grace in the second game of the match, The Incredibowls pull off an amazing upset and grab up 3 points for the night! The lead was taken thanks to a couple great games from Joe and Kevin, putting up over 100 more pins combined in their second effort! The red hot, "Hellboy" mused that perhaps it was his Supernova bowling that broke the lanes. Perhaps, my friend. You both were En Fuego!
