POTW: Phil Hamilton

Merino Ballbreakahs

All summer long, the Merino Ballbreakahs have been a force to be reckoned with up at Alberta Park, and as of last night, they may have found that final piece to become a full-fledged juggernaut. Phil Hamilton, fresh off the plane from New Zealand, joined their squad and played his first-ever American kickball game. A casual observer never would have suspected he'd never heard the term "man bunt" before, as he distinguished himself with hustle plays in the field, on the base paths, and connected for several great kicks. Welcome to the league, Phil!

Wednesday, June 30

POTW: Vibol Bou

Merino Ballbreakahs

Vibol not only carried his team to a major victory tonight, but gave a helping hand to another team in need. Vibol played the part of the good samaritan by pulling a double duty by helping Kicking Balls and Taking Names to a short handed victory, then turning right around to play on his own team. With fatigue setting in, Vibol was able to find a second wind and provide excellent defense and clutch kicking in his second game of the night. 2 Games. 2 different Teams. 2 Wins. Not a bad night for Vibol.
