Notes

First Place

Summer Co-ed Softball at Fernhill Park Sundays

And then there was one. One undefeated team left as the dust clears at Ferhill Park that is. Longballz was able to outlast a fired up Huevos Grandes team to win the Sunday League Championship.
As the afternoon got rolling Scared Hitless, pounded out many hits to cruise past Karcher Karnivores resulting with them being matched-up with Huevos Grandes in the first semi-final.
On the other side of the bracket Day Donkey, who won their first round game by forefit was match-up with Longballz.
In the first semi-final Huevos, lead on defense by Sheri Moore and Offense by Dave Manning was able to score 29 runs and make some big defensive plays to outlast Hitless and advance to the finals. In the other semi-final Day Donkey did all they could to advance. The all-around team offense and solid defense of Mathias Kulbowatz in the outfield and Cam Roberts on the mound were not enough to get by Longballz.
With both undefeated teams advancing in proved to be an exciting affair. Huevous had great support on and off the field. Tom Pomeroy did all he could on the mound hold Longballz under their season runs average. Justin Lim came up with big hit after big hit, in the end both of these efforts were not enough.
In the end a great end to a great day and season, with Longballz riding off with the hardware.
