In a hard fought night, Three Finger Discount held steady through the night to earn themselves the Championship wristbands. With a total score in the championship game just four pins different from their semi-final match Three Finger proved that consistency matters. Doug and Adam led the way but it was Ashley's 42 pin swing from game one to game two that was the difference maker. The Black Outs showed up pumped up but came up just short but still showed a respectable fight until the final frames.
In the 3rd place game Gutter It's Not rocked with a huge score led by Todd and Kevin. Obviously Not Golfers put up a score that would have been just pins away in the championship game but Gutter still rocked it out by almost 100 pins!
In the No Tap competition it was a VERY tight race until A Drinking Team With a Bowling Problem found out they could win FREE STUFF! Once they caught on they started to show their true spirit by stringing together five strikes as a team in a row twice within the first four frames of the second game! They started to then pull away and ended up with what might be a record of 20, yes 20, No-Tap coupons! With Four teams having over 10 coupons it was a highly competitive battle for the No-tap award this season.
Adam was racking up the strikes (and a few spares) in his second game earning an impressively high score and securing a win for 3 Finger Discount! Maybe it was the *rocking* sports jersey or he's perfected his approach. Whatever it was, it was full of awesome and made Adam POTW. Go Adam!
If there is anything the Big Turkey knows it's that leadership comes in all forms. In this case, Three Finger Discount's fearless leader is none other than Sejal. She rocked the impromptu nerd night, poked fun w/ her teammates on the twitter via her cell phone and lead the team to a opening night win. Nerd on!
