Definitive Turkeys brought the circus to the lanes

Kellie is the bright shiny star of the Definitive Turkeys' solar system. Every week she comes cheering and often not even for her team. This week, she was decked out in circus clown garb. Complete with face paint, poke-a-dot outfit, and crazy colorful hat. Great spirit out there Kellie and Definitive Turkeys.

Slumber on the Lanes

Lisa, along with the rest of the Definitive Turkeys, come to the lanes ready to lounge.

The Definitive Turkeys threw down their own theme tonight, Slumber Party. The evening was complete with robes, hair curlers, and pillow fights. Lisa took her wardrobe a little further. Not feeling completely relaxed without her daisy slippers, she cut holes in them and transformed her bowling shoes into slumber sportswear.

Spirited Buccaneers!

It was "Pirate Night" at Hollywood on Thursday, and many of our teams came out full of sea-roving spirit. This week, Player of the Week goes to an entire team.

The Definitive Turkeys came to the bowling alley prepared for battle, both at the lanes, and if necessary, topside on the ship's deck. They began the night by entering their players names into the system. These names included KAZAA, BitTorrent, Napster, and Limewire. A clever spin on the definition of 'pirating' will always pull at my geek strings. Additionally, some of the players had customized their pirate costumes to include burnt CDs dangling, in necklace form as their freebooter bling.

Not only were the Definitive Turkeys in full pirate garb, (one member going so far as to design a wooden peg out of a brown sock) they even brought a slew of props. Their table was a veritable treasure trove of pirate paraphernalia. It was covered with money chests, coins, maps....and of course, Spirit Tickets.

Thank you Definitive Turkeys for exceeding Underdog's expectations and reminding us why we love our bowling leagues and why spirit is so important.

Soldier With a Wounded Shoulder

Al's bruised shoulder kept her from bowling, but not from cheering.

Al put it all out on the court last Tuesday at Volleyball and ended up a bit too beat up to bowl tonight. But she used her one good arm to cheer her team on. Heal up and save some of yourself for bowling next week.

The Stache Survives

At Mustache Night, Alison takes desperate measures to keep the spirit

Tonight, Alison sported a nice mustache similar to Kurt Russell's in Tombstone, but pink. As the night progressed, her bowling was trying to get the best of her by sweating off her stache. Desperate measures took Alison to use the hand dryer at the ball return. Eventually she had to secure it to her face with a lace. Her bowling might have been hindered, but her spirit was in place all night.
