Great season by SpikeOpaths! They really delivered tonight in their final game. SpikeOpaths are an awesome team that communicates the whole time on the court. They showed their teamwork by diving after the ball and getting it back up and over. They ran a sold team of 3 covering the whole court effortlessly. Other teams better keep up be cause their one arm bump is on point. Great win tonight SpikeOpaths!
Spike Oaths brought their A-Game tonight! With only three players, they managed to cover the court seamlessly, diving into corners and covering crazy distances without breaking a sweat (okay, maybe a little sweat). Ryan's serves were unstoppable and he owned the net like a BEAST. I loved the effort Ryan gave for his team, throwing his body to the sand to keep the ball in play. This team played like a family, and were interacting with their opponent like they had bee friends for years. Such a fun game tonight- and great job Ryan!
On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Cassie of Spikopaths transcended volleyball with her outstanding performance. Time after time, Spikopaths turned to Cassie when they needed an over the top effort and she delivered without fail. The end of game two when the moment came for her to make a big net play, she leapt like Superman and rocked it over. For her die hard performance, Cassie is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!
