The Championship game of Irving Park kickball featured two teams who had previously tied in extra innings - Fly Lyce vs. Winners, Losers & Boozers. However, a 9 run 1st inning for Fly Lyce seemed to put any ideas of another close game out of mind. But did the Boozers give up? NO THEY DID NOT! They came back strong in the next 5 innings pulling the game back within striking distance. Going into the top of the 7th inning only being down 10-8 the Boozers felt like there might be a chance for a monster comeback. A run scoring single for the Boozers brought the game within one run and with two outs and the tying run on second base they got a big boot into the outfield. However, Fly Lyce's Greg Miller tracked the fly ball down, bobbled it a bit and hung on for the third out and the Fly Lyce championship. Fly Lyce win 10-9!
