Championship match El Diablo Ribotico vs. Swift Kick in the Grass didn't disappoint on and off the field. Teams stayed and hung out for the Sunday playoffs, cheering, chanting, grilling and enjoying the rain free day. In between the lines both teams were making plays on Defense, but Swift Kick was a little too much.
The newly weds added a BIG kick to the team, with B man ending his home run drought and 1 bag short of the cycle. Captain added his base knocks and rki's, with the rest of the team contributing with hustle and fun. It was a fun game and entire playoff day and a great way to end the season.
Mike was a beast this week! Led of the game with a homerun, got a hit every time he was up and also was turning double plays in the infield. He was also encouraging his team and keeping everything positive even when things weren't always going great. The man they call "The mouth" was the man this week!
Mike Robinson and his team Swift Kick in the Grass came pumped for their game against Pill Crushers. Dressed for the Sunday in their football jerseys for opening day of the NFL season, Mike Robinson was quite a sport both off and on the field. Cheering for his team's great plays, cheering for great plays the other team made, making great plays himself... Mike did it all in a nail-biting 5 - 4 victory, including kicking the game winning ball in the bottom of the 7th inning! Great job this week Mike, keep up the spirit and the kicks.
