Amelia had a great game today. She played first base and was the last part of a double play that was the final out!
The hot corner...a position not for the faint of heart in the game of softball. More often than not there is no time to think as a screaming ball heads your direction down the 3rd base line.. stick your glove out and hope for the best.
Jason Ahl of team Fireballz has never shied away from the position many players simple say "no thanks" when the line up card is being filled out before a game. HIs knack for being in the right place at the right time was on full display against LET'S GO DADDY! on Sunday at Irving Park. Quarterbacking his fellow infielders throughout the game and a rally crushin' double play kept Fireballz on the right track throughout the game, leading to a hard fought 16-13 victory & 2-0 start to this much anticipated fall season of Underdog softball.
