Our division 2 championship match between the Chewblockas and The Ball Tappers was a fun one to watch. But it wasn’t an easy road for either team to get there.
The Chewblockas had to get past Notorious DIG, who had last week off. The Chewblockas set the stage for the night taking a commanding first game lead 25-14 but Notorious doesn’t give up and they worked hard for a 25-21 win in the second game. The third game proved to be a back and forth game of fun. However, the Chewblockas were able to pull out the 25-17 win with some great ball placement and hard work.
The Ball Tappers didn’t have it any easy in their semi final game as they had Spike Club who came dressed up and ready to play. The first two games couldn’t be settled without extra points. The ball tappers cranked out the 28-26 win with some hustle and determination. But Spike Club wouldn’t go down without a fight and they took game two 26-24. Game 3 proved to be the most fun of all. Spike Club was ready to take home their championship but the Ball Tappers weren’t going to let that happen easily. With Spike Club up by 10 the fire in the Ball Tappers came out and they worked their way back to tie and eventually take the game and the right to play the Chewblockas in the championship.
The Ball Tappers and Chewblockas played a tight first game of back and forth volleyball. The Ball Tappers snuck by with a 25-21 win. And they weren’t going to let momentum stop them. They caught the Chewblockas off guard and played all out. With a winning game of 25-10, the Division 2 champs were crowned. Way to go Ball Tappers! Good Game Chewblockas.
Can’t wait for a rematch of all the teams next season as the Ball Tappers will be back to defend their title.
