Championship week was upon us at Oregon Park for the final summer grass game of 2014. We had 4 strong teams facing off tonight and they were all ready to take home the title! The Grass Stains had to fight of the fury of Lets Talk About Sets Baby while Anonymous Sets knocked of Shaggin Balls.
The stage was set for Grass Stains to take on Anonymous Sets. Game 1 was a close one that was won by just an inch and went to Grass Stains. The extra game that Anonymous Sets needed to take out Shaggin Balls was one too many because Stains took advantage and used their extra energy to find the holes and take home a big win in game two. It was a fun championship game! Congrats to Grass Stains!
Patrick came ready to play in the finals this week for the Grass Championship. He was ready for every set that came is way and he put down some great hits. His team definitely benefited from his awesome serving skills. He took his team home with over half the serves in the championship! Way to go Pat! We hope to see all the Grass Stains back next summer to defend their tile...or head inside with us for the fall!
Volleyball is her game during the summer and Jessica S shined tonight in helping her team advance to the semi finals of Oregon Park Wednesday volleyball. She helped set her team up multiple times for great hits! She looked stronger than ever in game 2 of 3 with Underdog this week! She even swung away for some great hits at the right time! Great work Jess and all of Grass Stains!
