Notes

First Place

Summer Gentlemans Flag Football at Lewis and Clark Wednesday

It was a battle of the indy teams for the championship, one seeded Golden Receivers verse two seeded DNP. Both teams won handily in their semi-finals games and were ready to get the finals underway immediately. Each team piled on quick touchdown after quick touchdown in the first half by catching defenders on their heels. At halftime and with the sun fully set, the second half slowed down with DNP's safety's picked off passes to prevent a few key touchdowns. They capitalized on the turnovers and inched themselves a head of Golden Receivers. DNP held on in the final seconds by staving off one final drive by GR to take home the championship!

Wade B. 'Player of the Week'

DNP (Indy Team #FF14)

DNP had back to back games this week against West Bound & Up and Tickle Tuesday. Wade B. got off to a slow start the first game by throwing an interception on the first play. DNP's defense snagged the first pass for an interception in the second game though to even things out for the day. Wade did not slip up again though, throwing seven touchdowns to that one interception. He found receivers all over the field, with everyone doing a great job of adjusting late in the game to the defense's schemes.
DNP has picked up their play the last few weeks to put together a string of wins. Their chemistry is growing stronger as well as their defensive focus. This is certainly a team to watch when playoffs roll around.
