This week the Sand Diggers dug deep into their play and worked for a tough win over the Thongs and Dongs. In the softcore championships the Thongs and Dongs were out to get revenge from the week 5 loss to the Sand Diggers. Thongs and Dongs played a very tough game one and looked as if they might run away with the championship. After Nate and Bree lead the team with some great setting and hitting, Ryan followed up with some great serves to take home the game one 1. But a refreshing intermission left the Sand Diggers ready to take home gold. The last two game of the night were as close at they can be but the Sand Diggers found a way to win with just a 2 point win in each game. Josh and Mandy lead the team to victory and we crowned the Sand Diggers the Softcore 2 champs tonight. Great play by both teams. See you next summer!
