First Place

Fall Gentlemen's Flag Football at Lewis and Clark Sunday

Through rain and blister winds, nothing was going to stop the Legends of the Fall group from bringing home the trophy tonight.
In what has been characterized as a deliberate and methodical way of play, Legends game plan this evening was to take control of the game and play clock early and never let go.
With the efforts of their gun slinging QB, and stingy defense, Legends of the Fall left little doubt on the field tonight about who the top team in the Men's league would be this session.
It would be a disservice if I just talked about the offense. In fact, it was the defense that stole the show. QuackMen came into the game after putting 40 points on the board during their semifinal game with a high scoring offense, making sure that Legends would have their hands full early. It took till about midway through the first half before Legends would get their first stop and from there on, they shut down the high flying group.
After punching it in early in the second half and building their lead to 25-12, Legends would milk every ounce of time from the game clock, while moving the ball down the field for their final score of the game. A score that put the game out of reach at 31-12 and allowed Legends to come away with a great and hard fought victory.
QuackMen didn't go quietly in the night, they fought and clawed their way back, never giving up and never losing hope. It just wasn't meant to be for them this evening. They ran into a team that was not going to be denied.
Congratulations to Legends of the Fall on your championship this session.
Being the champ with that bulls-eye on your back will only mean that others will be gunning for you. Are you up to the challenge of back to back championships?

Joey Jenkins

Legends of the Fall

What a day for QB Joey Jenkins. He lead his team "legends of the fall" to two victories on a beautiful day at Lewis & Clark. In the first game "legends" came out victorious as Joey threw for 4 TD's connecting with his top notch group of receivers. In the second game of the double header, Joey maintained his composure as the sun began to set and he orchestrated several nice drives down the field to lead his team to a 31 to 24 victory over team "Doc Dynasty". Congratulations Joey...you are the player of the week!
