Championship Sunday, ending the Spring season of Pennisula Sundays. Thrown Together came in the bracket as the 8 seed, but it goes to show, those are only numbers. Taking on a mighty Alcobalics team, with some cross over players, they were motivated.
Taking an early 7-0 lead they were pumped, but that was only the beginning. 9 innings and 18 runs later they pulled out a win 25-23! Taking on Back up off Me Pitches next and for the championship, they gave it all they had again. Another overtime game, but this time, not so fortunate. Nice games and season!
Playing the first game of the day, Thrown Together, was up and ready to go for Stealth R Us. Playing great ball for 6.2 innings, they had the game won, but the Stealth was running hard the last inning. Scoring 4 the won in walk off fashion.
Tricia was aggressive as always, hustling to get on base and making plays in the field. Adding a diving catch in the OF, for another week in a row! Always bringing her A game for the team and having fun,Mathis week wasn't any different.
