Led by team MVP Jacob Dorau, 'Jeff Gianola's Special Sauce' made their cinderella story happen this Sunday.
Entering as the #4 seed, they battled it out with #3 seed 'Nuke France' in the Quarters and pulled a one-run upset. Next up was their semifinal match against # 1 seed 'Free Ballers'. A grueling defensive battle took both teams into extra innings, where the 'SS' capitalized on the FreeBaller mistake, putting them into the Championship against 'Orange Crush'.
Despite the 100 degree heat, and it being their third game of the day, they just enough special sauce left and played stingy defense, beating the 'OC' 2-0 and effectively taking down the #'s 1,2, & 3 seeds along their way to their first Underdog Kickball league title!
