Spring Co-ed Sunday Afternoon Kickball at Unthank Park

Seeing as though kickball fashion is just about as important as kickball playing, Daryl is this weeks POTW for rocking the best socks in the land.

With the team-appointed nickname (I dont want to be accused) "Handsome Lightning," Corey did it all on Sunday. At the plate, Corey connected on a league best two homeruns, while also holding We Got the Runs to only 3 runs. More importantly, "Handsome Lightning" led Kickmaballs to their second win of the season and a three way tie for 3rd place in the league.

For the second week in a row the Unthank Park Player of the Week goes to an individual who sacrificed their body in effort of a winning week. Aaron dove wildly at the catcher position for a ball that was in danger of creeping out of play, preventing a run from scoring. Aaron's diving effort helped the rest of the Kick Cult Jam get their 3rd win of the season.

Despite his team struggling to find an offensive rhythm all game, Steve was determined to take the 0 off the scoreboard in Harvey Ballbanger's final inning. On a kick that sailed over the right fielder's outstretched arms, Steve hopped on his horse and rounded 3rd base full steam ahead, eventually executing a textbook headfirst dive into home plate just beating out the throw. And the best bit...a standing ovation from both squads and fans of both teams.
