It was a great season for the Big Balls team. They had crossed over from dodgeball to give kickball a try. At the end of the season they found themselves in championship to face former champion THUNDER DOME.
THUNDER DOME got out to an early lead and held on with great defense. Noelle Maritz's bobbling catch in right field was impressive. Later, Jeremy Anderson laid down a three run "in the park" homer.
Big Balls was not done. Charlie Karustis made a leaping catch to get out of the top of the seventh. When the Big Balls team came up in the last inning Jeremy Anderson hit a double with two runners on.
THUNDER DOME was too much and held on to win. In a sign of good sportsmanship they passed their champion's gift certificate over to the Big Balls team. Thanks to both teams for good sportsmanship and a great final!
