For keeping his head in the game - Richie is the POTW this week. Not only did he have excellent focus as the catcher, he yelled alot and most of the time it was funny. Congrats Richie!

Blue Balls
It was quite an impressive day for Blue Balls on Sunday. In their first week fielding a team in Underdog Sports, Blue Balls managed to win both games of their double header in impressive fashion to get them off to a 2-0 start in the league. Barrett was a huge contributor in the wins, providing a Home Run in the first match while consistently being a defensive machine behind home plate during both.

No Limit
No Limit had quite a performance this week with a combination of offensive firepower and a defensive prowess that held there opponents to 1 run. No one was more influential then Eric, who not only added to the offense with a monstrous home run, but was also a catalyst on defense at 1st base. Just what the doctor ordered after a tough loss the week before!

POTW: Jason Howard
Blue Balls
This weeks POTW has to go to the Blue Balls Jason Howard. Not only was Jason instrumental in the teams victory, but he also showed his strength, power, and overall ability to destroy things. Facing a fastball right over the plate, Jason wound up for a massive swing only to send the ball off his foot with a gaping hole in the seams, which could be equated to ripping the cover off the ball ala Roy Hobbs (who some know as Robert Redford) in "The Natural" For those who were fortunate to see the event, it will stand tall in Underdog Kickball @ Gabriel Park history.

POTW: Kyle Lewis
Swift Kick in the Grass
Kyle was a beast on Sunday Afternoon, not only at the plate but also commanding shortstop with ease. To go along with multiple RBI's, Kyle had the play of the game when, after cutting off a throw form the outfield, ran in from shortstop to punch out an overzealous runner rounding third and attempting to make it home. To bad Kyle, his headband, and high socks were there to make the play...

POTW: Chris Vyain
POTW: Chris Vyain
No Limit
Chris was an animal on Sunday. Despite the rain and rough and slippery conditions of the outfield, Chris gobbled up every fly ball that came within the vicinity of left field. Although his defense was spectacular, it wasn't the highlight of the day. During a very optimistic attempt to squeeze a stand up double into a triple, Chris found himself caught in a pickle between 2nd and 3rd. Quickly retreating back towards 2nd, Chris lunged his body towards the base despite the fact that it was clearly over 10 feet away. It may not have been the prettiest slide, but after a few extra crawls, Chris somehow found himself safe at 2nd with the dirtiest Underdog uniform of the week to show for it...

POTW: Julia Fraser
Blue Balls
Julia was a gamer all the way this week. She did it all on defense and at the plate as well. Her intoxicating presence was on display for both teams to admire. Although she was not actually intoxicated by any substance, she showed great enthusiasm on and off the field. Great effort Julia!

POTW: Dave Austin
POTW: Dave Austin
Blue Balls
Although the championship victory was a total team effort, Dave exemplified exactly what Blue Balls was all about this week; smothering defense. With 1 out in the bottom of the 7th, Ross from No Limit sent a scorcher down the 3rd base line, only to see Dave come out of nowhere to making a diving catch on to the Gabriel Park outfield, and basically sealing the league title for Blue Balls.
