In a mirror image of last season, Pit of De-spare finished off the regular season undefeated and continued their dominance in the playoffs. They did however, have a bit of a scare in their championship game against King Pins who through the fifth frame were virtually tied with De-spare. Not to be denied though, Pit stepped up their game and ended up with the comfortable lead by the end.
In the semi-finals Split Happens pulled through in their first season with Underdog against Drinking Team with a Bowling Problem. In a tight game the entire way Luke stepped up big time while Stacey showed to be a key player after not being able to make it for the first game of the night. Drinking team showed that a fourth place finish shows nothing about their team spirit and how absolutely cool they look in cheep shades!
In the 9-pin no-tap competition Balls Deep decided that they'd repeat...for the 3rd season in a row. Down by a few no-tap coupons they turned it on late and completed the rally to overtake Bowling with The Homies who were led by big Mr. T who in his second game had a clean game and a perfect game going into the 10th frame. After a strike in the 10th frame, Mr. T. was only able to pull out 8 pins and then completed the spare just short of the perfect game!
In a very spirited season The Bowling Stones pulled out the victory in the Spirit Award category but the PinHeads were just short in coupons but just as spirited for the season...especially for an Indy team!
Way to go everyone on a very entertaining season!
