Balls Deep
The most highly sought after individual award in Underdog flag football is the player of the week award and this week we will honor Alex Williams from the Balls Deep football club. He earned this honor with his blazing speed and his ability to put himself where no defenders may find him. That would be three feet off the ground in the back of the end zone for the game winning TD for Balls Deep. He may not have scored the most TDs this week but he scored when his team needed it most. Congrats Alex!

Balls Deep
This weeks Underdog player of the week is Molly Goff of the Balls Deep Football Club. Her team sporting mostly scarlet and gray looks as if they walked off the Ohio State Buckeyes practice field. Molly earned player of the week with her great clock awareness and her ability to put together long drives that eat up the clock similar to her sweater vest friend Jim Tressell. In the final seconds of the game Molly managed to put together a side line to sideline run that finally finished in the end zone to secure a one score lead for Balls Deep. Great individual play this week Molly and congrats on player of the week!

Laces Out- Indy #1
Mike "from Wisconsin" Oswald is the Underdog player of the week for his superb pass defense and his attempted three interceptions. Mike and his team Laces Out were a true Cinderella story with playing the game one player short against an offensive powerhouse known as the Fourthandfifteen football club. With Mike and his ability to bat down balls the laces out defense slowed Fouthandfifteen's offense giving them very long fourth down conversions. Mike also played well on offense he had two touchdown catches securing victory for Laces Out. Congrats on the victory and the underdog player of the week.

Shake N' Bake
Underdog Player of the week will be presented to Kregg Davenport of the Shake-N-Bake football club. Kregg was chosen for this award for his ability to snag passes while keeping his toes in the end zone. Kregg is built like Brian Urlacher, which make his acrobatic catches in the end zone even more impressive. His teammates call Kregg the Condor, I didn't see the resemblance until Kregg started catching balls with multiple defenders around him. Congrats Kregg on you game changing performance and your bird of prey TD catching style.

Skull Krushers
Underdog Player of the week is awarded to Nick Harbert of the Skull Krushers football club. Nick had an amazing game and put up stats like five touchdown passes, two touchdown runs, and one pick on defense. Nick was able to accomplish these Payton Manningish stats by throwing pinpoint accurate passes and dispersing the ball evenly between the receiving core. Nick seems to put that special touch on the ball that hangs every ball just out of touch of the defensive back and safely into the receiver's hands for a TD. Great job Nick and keep it up.

Back that pass up
The Underdog player of the week goes to Lauren Carpenter of the Back that Pass up ball club. She earned this honor with putting up impressive stats like 7 receptions for 130 yards. Three touchdown catches and one successful point after attempt. Now that was just on offense now on defense Lauren had 6 flag pulls and one touchdown saving open field flag pull to save a pick six and one sack for a loss. I think these stats speak for themselves for the amount of talent this girl has. Great week Lauren and congratulations on Underdog player of the week.

Shake N' Bake
The Underdog player of the week goes to Scot Vincenzes of Shake and Bake. After going into the fourth overtime and a shake and bake victory Scot really earned played of the week. He ended up with two touchdowns and one extra point and six balls defended. Scot plays defense a lot like a middle linebacker where he always gets a hand on the ball and disrupts the play but just can't seem to get the pick. But that's OK because Scot put shake and bake into the overtime situation with his pass defense and not allowing any catches for Laces Out. Great week Scot and good luck in the semi-finals.

POTW: Steve Foerstner
POTW: Steve Foerstner
Balls Deep
Steve Foernster is the Underdog flag football league champion, MVP, and Underdog player of the week. Steve has done it all. Steve grew up in central Ohio throwing a football through the tire swing on the family farm. His friends and family knew he was destined for flag football greatness. And Thursday evening he proved it by throwing six touchdown passes for 193 yards and only one interception. Steve is likes to put together big drives that that eat up to clock and keep the ball out of the opposing players hands. And that along with his ability of spreading the ball out to all the players on the team is what makes Steve great and the Underdog player of the week!
