On a crisp cool late Spring night, Balls of Fury claimed the Montavilla Kickball Title by navigating through a tricky playoff scenario to beat the number one seeded Bloopers.
Both games tonight were extremly close with the Bloopers surviving a late Balls N Dolls rally in the 9pm game. Balls N Dolls were able to storm back and bring the winning run to the plate, but the Bloopers clamped down on defense to take the win.
The championship game lived up to its billing as the game of the century. The one seed Bloopers versus the two seed Balls of Fury. Balls of Fury raced out to an early lead and appeared to be on thier way to an easy victory. The Bloopers, however, would not go down without a fight and in the top of the 6th, cut the lead to 5-4. Balls of Fury added an insurance run the bottom of the 6th and played lock down defense in the 7th to take the championship. Great job, everyone and great job Balls of Fury!
