Dodge This narrowly defeats T. Wrecks
Consistent Play Leads to another Championship

Everyone expects the level of play & intensity to increase in the playoffs, Monday night was no different. Four teams battled their way to the semi-finals with stellar play and excellent team chemistry.

Got Balls, led by Michael Cofield, made a courageous run by beating the higher seeded Ballz to the Wallz. They seemed like the hot team coming into the semi-finals against an experienced Dodge This team. Dodge This was led in this game by Steve Lee who made many timely throws plus clutch catches to give his team a steady number advantage and ultimately the win a trip to the finals.

On the other side of the bracket were two teams who played very well throughout the entire season. Mad DodgerISM, led by one of the best players in the league Kayla Kuretich, faced a very deep T. Wrecks team. In one of the closest games of the night, T. Wrecks held on to win 4-3 with Chris Kalani sealing the deal with an accurate sinker ball connecting to send them into the Championship game verses Dodge This.

In the championship game we were treated to a great match with everyone playing at an extremely high level. Both teams came out firing blanks with the game lasting over 5 minutes, but T. Wrecks Chris Kalani ended the game with a finger tip catch to end game one. The next three games were equally intense, yet were all won narrowly by Dodge This. Included in these great games was a stellar one on one match to end game 4. Matt Baird (T. Wrecks) and Josh Leslie (Dodge This), two of the best players this season, waged a war for the ages. Often using two balls to protect themselves, they played a chess game of counter shots to try and knock each other off balance. Josh Leslie ended this matchup of the day with a sinking lazer shot to the inside of a jumping Matt Baird's thigh to win the game and put Dodge This in a comfortable 3-1 lead. With 3 minutes remaining the T. Wrecks did not quit, but quickly won game 5 to pull within 1 game of tying the series. Game six was also very close, the teams fought back and forth until there were only 3 players remaining. Sarah Mason (Dodge This) made an excellent catch to add a player, then made an deceiving change up throw that caught Tess Kimble (T. Wrecks) on her side. Ms. Kimble made the sportsmanship move of the evening by calling herself out and giving Dodge This the Friendly House Championship.

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
