Spring Rookie/Softcore Kickball at King School Park Sundays

Spring kickball is back at King School, and although I'd Hit That lost, it didn't stop Andrea from having fun and playing great kickball. See was hustling on both sides of the plate getting on base and playing great d, making the play of the year...? Catch into spinning throw from ground, hitting the runner in the hand to force a double play. That's right. Mark Buehrle would've been jealous.

Rob white (AKA no kin to Barry White) came ready to play on Sunday for the legendary Alcoballics, however, due to numbers Swift Kick in the Grass needed one player. Rob accepted the trade at the last minute to keep the competition live.

On Saturday, Nathan was your ordinary guy enjoying life one day at a time; but on Sunday he left the glasses at home and decided to wear an S on his chest. The Vatican Assassins never have tasted victory before but behind the leadership of Nathan (superhero music in the background). The Vatican Assassins tasted victory!!!!!

It was a hard scoring, hard fought game on both sides. Runs were scored in every inning, but none were bigger or more impressive than Alex's three run homer over the fence in right center field. Additionally, Alex provided key outs on the defensive side as well.

To the average human, Red Ball and Vodka had a huge disadvantage with 3 outfielders; but on Saturday Brian Maahs was covering the outfield like a mad man. Brian made numerous diving catches to cover for the shortage in the outfield. Brian made unbelievable diving catch in the championship game and dislocated his arm and continued to hold on to the ball for the catch. Brian had to leave the game but he didn't leave the sideline with a dislocated arm he continued to cheer for Red Ball and Vodka until the game was finished. Brian showed great sportsmanship for his team and the league.
