Put Me In Coach!
Before the game started Alex was very nervous, telling her team mates that she had "never played volleyball before". Well, that girl took to volleyball like a fish to water. She was all over the place and did a great job, surprising not only her team mates but herself too! Great job, Alex!

Lending a helping hand!
Lending a helping hand!
Adams and Marrs help in many ways.
Phoebe Adams and Alex Marrs were pretty helpful on Thursday. They helped get the games on and then helped their team beat a scrappy Aikukai.

Before they got their game on they helped get the game on by unrolling and laying out the boundry lines. While getting their game on they were vital in playing a strong back row. Both ladies continously put passes on the mark, setting up their teammates for easy points.

Thanks for the help and congrats on the Victory!

Bad to the Bone
There was a cool breeze in the air Thursday night. Spike n Ikes against Bad to the Bone was a great set of games, very close to say the least. Bad to the Bone came out with the victory and Ayako Yamada had some all star plays. She's athletic, smart, quick and overall awesome teammate. This team is fun to watch, they mesh well together and have awesome green team shirts! Way to go Ayako for leading your team to victory!

Malia's backrow passing is key to victory.
Malia's backrow passing is key to victory.
It was quite a display of back-row play put on Thursday. Malia turned every ball Put me in Coach sent her way into a scoring opportunity. Hustle was the key. Whether, it was running to a far corner chasing a tough serve or digging a hot spike that eluded blockers Malia made it happen. Her quality first passes lead to many points.

Malia made it look easy and that helped her team do the same.

Put Me In Coach Rolls into the Finals.
Put Me In Coach Rolls into the Finals.
It was a great night on Thursday. Part of that great night was a great all-around effort by Scott Hoback. "Put Me In Coach" played very well as a team and the glue holding that team together was Scott. If they needed a big serve he had it, a big spike he killed it, a huge dig he got it. Scott was basically eveywhere on the court making sure his team came out on top against a very tough "Shaggin Balls" team.

It all came down to this final game and Service Industry came out on top. Championship week surely brought out everyone's best game. The strategy was simple, serve strong and get the ball to Jesse Smith whenever possible. It was a very successful strategy.

Jesse's ability to spike everything within reach proved to tough to handle when it really mattered. Great hustle and passing by the rest of his squad him focus on what he does best.
