Best Double Play EVER in Kickball History!
Best Double Play EVER in Kickball History!
Even thought the day was hot and everyone was having fun, Andy Asher came to play, and play he did. Pitching in the late innings with 2 runners aboard and no outs a kick was given to Andy's pitch to the outfield which resulting in the weekly "Running of Base Runners". As two runs were about to score Andy collected the the relay throw and threw a precision ball to hit the lead runner only a step from home plate and then the ball with pinpoint accuracy went and hit the trailing runner in the leg getting a double play and saving 2 runs. All that were in the presence of this play were in awe of it! Simply amazing!

Cause this is THRILLER!
Cause this is THRILLER!
Playing in the rain at King School Park, Barry Rhodes summoned his inner Michael Jackson. Instead of running to first base, Barry, obvouisly playing to the crowd, moonwalked to first base. Showing that he is not just a threat on the field but also on the dance floor?

Leaving the question to be asked, when will there be a Underdog Dancing with the Kickball Stars?

Just a Day in the Mud
Just a Day in the Mud
After a brief rain storm the made all of the areas around the bases mini lakes, Nick enjoyed stomping his feet in every puddle that he could find. Nick kicked a great ball out of Lake Home Plate to advance to first. But once on first he seem to get happy feet to advance to second as the next batter kicked a ball to the second baseman and as Nick tried to retreat back to first he was tagged out by the ball on the foot. Being tagged on the foot is not that big of a deal unless you happen to jumping in the air to avoid being hit. Well as we all know, if you take the feet out from under a runner that runner is just laying out and that is what happened to Nick.

Way to get dirty and have a great time even though you were out!

Wild Thing! I think we love you!
Wild Thing! I think we love you!
Nobody knew that Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn was on the Kick in the Box roster, but Lara obviously watched the movie to get pumped up for her pitching debut. Lara pitched outside, inside and every side but over the plate for the 7 innings. There seemed to be everything used to keep the ball from coming over the plate, yet when her team need a strike or at least something near the plate she delivered!
Great pitching Vaughn! I mean Larson!

If you want to get some great ideas for a Halloween costume for this year's holiday just ask Heather and she will help you out, just don't steal her costume idea and come to her party! I WILL BE ON!

Mike led his team with coaching, kicking and making plays. He also added some needed RBI"s and runs. OH yeah, he also proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the game. Great job and good luck in the future.

Hello Children
Hello Children
Pill Crushers
In a wet and muddy game at King School; it was only fitting that a celebrity chef played in the game, Ben "Chef Boyardde" Ateck. Ben brought out the kids in all of us in a full costume as the famous chef.

He played with great defense, offense, and playful personality all the encompesses Underdog. He had a great time playing keeping everyone laughing in a very competitive championship game as well as playing well.

My hat is off to you chef! Great game, costume and season!
