Oh Balls!

Balls down

First match off the winter season started with returnees , safe sets vs. Oh balls, balling it out. Oh balls were a few players short, playing with 5, but still played hard. They would lose in three games, but had fun, smiling and cartwhelling around the court. Nice match.

But practicing safe sets

It was a great match to watch and I'm sure even more fun to play. Safe sets vs. Priority balls on paper might not look close, but each game was a battle. Long rallies, great passing with talking, cheering and great team play. "Jumping" Jeff was big at the net all night. Hitting, blocking, redirecting and setting multiple teammates. Playing team volleyball and having fun! Great work by both sides.

Though they didn't pull it out against the, Volley brawlers, they played great and had fun. Mike was leading by example, talking on the court, calling the ball( "in", "out", "mine"), hitting, passing and diving after balls. He added several jump serves and 'guts' to the team, that was playing team v-ball. Well played match, from both sides.

Although Bookworm & buddies would lose to Spike club, they all stayed on topic and studied together. Alison was adding to the group, talking, diving, hustling, and adding the save from the side of the net(!). All while cheering and having fun 'studying'. Nice team rallies and match by both sides.

Although Safe sets didn't pull out the win vs. the Jesters, they played well rounded team volleyball. Samantha was ready to play, serving, passing and playing defense in the back and front row. Digging the ball off the block and the net!. Best of all the 'safe' sets, to different hitters. Fun match to watch, well played by both.

Court Jesters vs. Spyk was a great match with rallies, big hits, saves and serves. Ryan was doing what he could, diving for balls in the front and back row, blocking and hitting big at the net. The diving 1 arm save, got up and hit it over the net. Great match by both sides. Hope to see it again

Squid guts were playing great team ball throughout the match, passing, hitting and talking. Mike was all over the court, hitting/blocking, making saves and having fun. A diving out of bounds dig, over the net, kill was the play of the night. Great match by both sides.

It was 1 vs.2, to finish out March madness/ April Assault. Spyke started out firing and would take game 1, but the 'clowning' around turned into determination and hustle. Court Jesters would rally as a team, talking and getting pumped up. They all were covering court, diving, hitting, digging and serving. Good stuff
