Summer Co-ed Softball at Rose City Park Sundays

Jake is a great personality to have on the diamond. His jokes and banter with his sister makes for a good chuckle. This week was extra special! A courageous 6 run 7th inning from Master Batters tied the game going into the bottom of the 7th. Jenny Lutton, a hitting machine sped her way to first representing the winning run. With a duck on the pond, brother bear eyed down a 2 seam change up from his nemesis in a Giants hat. Jake Lutton delivered for his team, a deep shot to right allowed his Sis to cross the plate for the winning run!

Mike Cleveland was one of the best players on the diamond on Sunday at Rose City Park... he also happens to be 80 years old. Mike killed it at Rose City Park on Sunday. He actually played 2 games for Drunk Tank and Paddy Wagon in 100 degree heat. He was on-base damn near every time. You'd think at 80 years old, he would maybe get a base hit, then ask for a courtesy runner. Not Mike. He ran around the bases like someone 40 years younger. It was amazing how nimble he was at 80 years old. It was very inspiring to know that I might have 40 years of softball playing left in me. Great job, Mike! You're this week's Player of the Week!

Darren has grown this season into one of the most feared pitchers in the league. He uses all parts of the strike zone and doesn’t back down from nobody.
Today, he showed up big time with his bat. Home runs and RBI’s all day long. He got into a epic stare down which turned into a pickle! Eventually he slid into home safely and cemented himself in the Underdog hall of fame.
