Spring Co-ed Softball at Westmoreland Mon/Tue

Roland made a name for himself tonight. He pitched a complete game and held opportunistic Sin Rock to 4 runs. A mix of inside outside pitches kept batters off balance all night. Although the pitching was special, it was what he did with the bat that made Fornataro player of the week!

With his team egging him on and the lights shining bright at Westmoreland, he hit a shot to deep left center field. Legend has it the odds were set at 200 to 1. “Rolling” Roland is in the history books for what is for is now known as the “$2000 home run.” Great game, see ya next week ace!

Shauna is not just a Hoodrat. She’s also a team player. And play she did for other teams. Doing her best to get everyone in the game and having fun she’s got a winning attitude that will shine in defeat. Playing for teams that need subs and possibly rescuing your cleats; Shauna is your player of the week!

Connor has one massive grand slam shot that was about half way up the screen at field 2. This was the shot that put the game away as his team then lead 16-8, they would go on to win, with Connor being the player of the game as well!

Justin had an all-star caliber day for his team the vacasaraptors not only did he have two two-run home runs, but one of them was to put his team in the lead in the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. His team would hold on to the lead for the victory. He also played an excellent shortstop and made all the routine plays that came his way. Great job leading the squad Justin.

Jesse had an amazing call from the sideline. After being sidelined for the season due to injury he came out to support the squad. Jesse called a triple play from the bench only seconds before his teammates were able to put together some magic and pull it off! Way to go Jesse keep up the awesome cheering.

Rachel was all over the field defensively! She made a few great catches in the outfield, really tracking the ball well. Then she showed off her cannon, throwing out a runner who forgot to tag up. Last but not least she saved a run with a solid catch and tag as the catcher!

William has a great game despite the team loss. He had his first ever home run for an inside the Parker that he legged out that scored 3-runs! Keep improving Will and you’ll be hitting them out of the park in no time.

Mark was a wizard at shortstop for the tinderellas. He lead his team to the championship W with his excellent leadership and selfless play style. He also happened to have one of the best plays I have ever seen while with underdog diving for a ball to his right, then proceeding to throw the runner out at first from his backside! Nicely done done Mark and the tinderellas.
