Both teams came energized and ready to play. Everyone had their game face on but also their dancing feet. The windy conditions of the Finals match definitely presented its challenges, where not all players could adjust.
In set 1, Orville Ready-Blockers took on a decent 5 point lead due to unforced errors from G-Unit Part Deux, but they managed to catch up to tie 8-8. Sabrina defensively covered her area well, digging up hits and tips, which helped G-Unit snag the lead. Their communication and teamwork picked up, with Jen sending balls to the corner and Dan's cross court roll shots. However, Brian's defense, Dante's smart ball placement and Carol's tough serves helped Orville take the first set 21-18.
In set 2, G-Unit struggled in serve receive. Dante from Orville went on a 19 point serving streak! He had controlled and strategic serves to seams. Brian and Julie protected his serve with awesome defense. G Unit's Jen & Sabrina had amazing digs, while Dan & Nick hustled all over the court, but they couldn't manage to get a side out. Brian closed out the game with an intimidating kill with an assist from Carol which secured Orville's win 21-2.

That’s What She Set and Dream Team came full force to the Finals with 5 players each at Woks Up. It was the perfect summer night. The players were invigorated and amped from the sounds of Chepe’s boom box… no one could stop dancing on and off the court. They even had restaurant customers cheering them on. After all the fun, That’s What She Set came out on top 3-0! They went for every ball and their constant hustle all over the sand court paired with nonstop laughter paid off for an exciting victory. Dream Team had nice corner roll shots and defense but the multiple serve errors seemed to be contagious. Nonetheless, it was positive attitudes all around and an enjoyable Finals match.
