Good Times
Kim Russel is not only a girl who can throw the pig skin, but she is also the person that keeps the good times going.
When Blood, Sweat and Beers recruited her to play football, they had no idea she was the vibrant girl that she is. When the opening day speech was given to her team, she sat down right in front to make sure she had a ringside seat for the speech. She was like a pre-schooler with her arms folded together.
This set the tempo for the good times. During the game, Kim had one liners that would put Rodney Dangerfield to shame. She was never out of funny comments to make nor out of energy.
Kim played QB and threw an interception, but when the coach put her back in she then threw a touchdown with a perfect spiral that would put most QBs in the NFL to shame. She did her touchdown dance and even during plays she kept the fun alive by dancing to the beat in her head.
It was raining and cold outside, but because of Kim's animated personality no one cared of being outside in the cold. For her game play, but most important her good humor and personality, we give Kim Russell the Player of the Week Award. congratulations!

Simply Jen
Small Package
Her name is Jennifer but she is known as simply Jen....from the block. In only her 2nd season playing Underdog Football Jen already has a reputation that follows her with Underdog Sports.
Standing at only 5'2" Jen packs a giant smile of good times while on the field. Some like to look intimidating to others while playing football. Jen, on the other hand, plays reverse psychology on others. She greets you with a high five and a smile.
She slips and slides while reaching for the ball in the air and when she muffs it, she laughs at herself. But when she catches it, she is a tough cookie.
It was a crazy, wet day on the grid iron on Sunday, but that didn't bother Jen as she took off her sweater, sporting the tie-dye shirt while enjoying the game play on the field.
Jen from the block is the player that you would want on your team because of her talent, but more so for her pure enjoyment of the game. We tip our hat off to the Player of the Week, Jennifer Kenison or simply known as Jen. Congratulations!

2nd Season
Hung Ma, from 99 Problems but a Blitz Ain't One, in only his 2nd season playing Underdog football has made his impression on everyone. He plays like a madman, creating havoc for quarterbacks who try to scramble.
Hung has helped his team win games against tough opponents by hustling all over the field, but he is the 1st one to walk up to you and shake your hand on a well played game.
This season, Hung has taken it among himself to set a season long goal. Every week he comes ready to play rocking out a new accessory. This week he came sporting out some head gear flipped inside out to make him look more intimidating to players.
Some believe this made him play better, but it only kept him warm. Whatever the reason he brought this gear to play in, we give him the Player of the Week Award. Congratulations!

Keep Dancing
The weather forecast said rain with a chance of a blizzard. We soon found that out as everyone was wet and moving slow. But once Jen stepped on the field, she was rejoicing in her creation.
Jen Kenison wanted it to rain so badly on Sunday that she did a special rain dance before the start of the day. In fact she was so focused on her dance that she dropped 5 passes thrown to her.....all in the end zone.
But did her team put her down? No, her team picked her up and said "Keep dancing".
Lets face it. In good or bad weather, Jen knows how to have fun! because of her crazy antics and amazing dancing, she gets the Player of the Week Award. Congratulations!

Wicked Moves
In a freezing cold day that made Lambeau Field seem like paradise. One player stood out above the rest for having the most fun. Not only did the weather not bother her, but she was ready to play.
Amanda Salinas from Whooooa Bundy had her mind set that she would do a little dance if she scored a touchdown just like they do in the NFL. Late in the 1st half, her wish came true as she caught her 15th career touchdown. As soon as that happened, she softly spiked the ball and begun with her version of the Icky-Shuffle as she demonstrated her wicked moves.
As Amanda slid from left to right, she had the biggest smile on her face, thoroughly enjoying the moment.
Later in the game she scored another touchdown, but the fans were left in disappointment as she did not do a dance. After the game, she apologized for not dancing and said "It will not happen again."
Dancing after a touchdown or after the game, it doesn't matter because Amanda Salinas is our Player of the Week. Congratulations and keep up the good moves.

Challenges
Sundays Team of the Week goes to a team that has played through a couple of injuries and the cold weather. Despite this team playing in the cold, they always have a smile on their faces and are ready to play.
Win or loose, team Riot has made the true Underdog transition to be a team that enjoys having a good time while throwing the pig skin around. Even though Riot lost in a close battle in the 1st round of the playoffs, they still managed to laugh and show their true colors of being great players on and off the field.
Lead by their fearless leader, Jeff Goldblatt, this team is never short of plenty good times! We commend team Riot in a season well played and await them for the next season as Riot is this week's Team of the Week.

Obvious Fun
This week's player of the week goes to a long overdue player that has shown her lively spirit, & great attitude every week. Through the rain or shine, cold or mild and even through the snow, once she steps on the field she begins to have fun and it is obvious.
Naomi Head from AA is the kind of player that you would love to have on your team not only because of her athleticism, but also because of the way she carries herself on the field. Naomi makes sure she is the 1st to walk up to the opposition to shake hands on a game well played and the always makes sure she gives a well deserved compliment to the officials as the game is being played.
Even though AA has a captain in self proclaimed Tommy Football, Naomi is the one who rules on the field because she has influence over her fiance on the field as well. So it is safe to say that she is the one who takes control on the field and leads the team.
For her great game play and amazing great sportsmanship, Naomi Head is this week's player of the week. Congratulations!
