Spring Westside Softcore Co-Ed Kickball at Gabriel Park Sundays

It was late in the 5th inning, the sun was trying to peek its way out from behind the spring clouds, and Lisa Diercksen was about to make, hands down, the play of the day at Gabriel Park. The ball was lined into left and began to fade fast. Lisa made her break for the ball, and throwing all caution to the wind, dove headfirst towards the third base line, wrapping the ball in her arms and proceeded to tuck and roll over the ball, all the while holding our red rubber as snug as a newborn baby. Congrats for showing the boys how it's done Lisa!

Astronomers shouldn't have use their telescopes to find the nearest black-hole. Her name is Christine and you can find her Sundays, at Gabriel Park. She swallowed up anything around first base without any errors. Amazing tracker and trapper Christine- way to go.

It was the first of two 1 run games that came down to the 7th and final inning. Though the Kickers would fall short Lestarya was doing her thing, playing great D in RF, covering her teammate to make a deflection catch(!) and hustling around the bases, scoring twice. Cheering her team on, having fun throughout the game . Nice playing.

Starting on the mound against Pitches be Crazy, Drew would throw a complete game. It would be his first of two. hustling from the mound and shutting down all bunts.! Adding a few kicks and rki's, he had a solid all around game, finishing it with a game ending double play to win the championship. Nice work.
