Welcome to Tuesdays at the Courts!

This week's Team of the Week goes out to the new kids on the block at Tuesday Volleyball Scared Hitless! Congratulations to Scared Hitless on being the newest team to our Tuesday night league.

These players were ready to get started! They showed up early for their game. They got some really great practice in before getting the chance to play, and they played awesome their very first night together!

You guys are all rock stars and have a wonderfully positive demeanor amongst the team. Each week your skills working together will grow and it will be fun to watch your new team excel! Great job this week, and congratulations on being our Team of the Week!

This week's Team of the Week goes to the How I Set Your Mother!

These guys and gals were born to hustle this week. They had an amazing game against Block Party (Champions from last season) and it was a fantastic game to watch! On both sides there were times when you felt like it was obvious that the ball was not going back over the net and somehow it always did. How I Set Your Mother ran to the walls and beyond after every ball!

They have come such a long way from their beginning days at Underdog just a few short seasons ago! Now they are diving on the floor after balls, their setter set from her knees a few times to get the spikes in, and they just gave it their guts for 3 whole games. The best part I think is their positive spirit! This team is so much fun to play with or against. They are always smiling and laughing together no matter how the game turns out.

This weeks player of the game goes to Noelle Miller of How I Set Your Mother. Noelle had some great serves, after she figured out that she needed to serve with her right hand, even though she is left handed. She also had some really impressive hits at the net, and was a super cheerleader to her whole team. Even if she had an error, she just laughed and shook it off and kept playing. What a trooper! Great job Noelle! And congratulations on being this weeks player of the week.

This week's Player of the Week goes to Natalie Pepper from Set on the Beach!

Natalie showed exceptional style on a sweltering summer afternoon at the courts. Her neon socks and jet black attire were the perfect distraction for the match! Even the rest of her team was in on her trendy theme.

The team fought hard in their battle against the Honey Badgers, and through the event Natalie was a rock of positivity. Encouraging her team members and coaching them to within inches of a win!

Great job Sets on the Beach and a big Congratulations to Natalie for being our Player of the Week!

Let's not forget the fact that Nikhil proudly sported his Forest Green Underdog Tee for the rally! Overall, Nikhil was a positive reinforcement to the competitive and fun match up this week. When Anoop is on the court the gel is formed, and the game is in sync. Anoop's solid performance this week led Scared Hitless to a close run against How I Set Your Mother. The team of the week is awarded to none other than Scared Hitless. Underdog sports like volleyball don't build character, but reveal it. Scared HItless won out each round of the playoffs to find themselves in the championship! Don't judge this team by their cover, given they didn't win a ton of matches going into the playoffs, but proved the age-old saying that anything can happen on any night in sports to be utterly true! Even Scared Hitless was a little stunned they made it to the championship round, but anyone watching their matches would agree that this team really gels and plays to everyone's strengths on the court! Thanks for showing your true colors tonight Scared HItless, and congrats on making it to the championship!
