Spring OPEN Softball at Westmoreland Tuesdays (No Gender Rules)

There was a true all star performance by Eric of Bombers this past Wednesday night. Eric got the nod on the bump in this weeks match up and truly delivered. Not only was his pitching completely dialed in all night, he was making plays all game long. At least 5 hard hit balls right back at him were handled with ease to record outs and turn multiple double plays. He also got it done at the plate recording 3 RBIs on the night. For an all around MVP performance, Eric is out Player of the Week!

Sports often allow athletes to truly display their abilities especially in critical situations. Such was the case this past Tuesday at Westmoreland Park where Dickbat found themselves down 21-19 going into the bottom of the 7th inning. After a huge two run double prior, Ben took the plate with two outs, runners on second and third with the game tied up. As he's done all night, Ben came up big when his team needed him most. Ben sent a line shot down the first base line allowing the runner to dance home which cued the celebrations at first base in response. For his clutch performance in the championship game, Ben is our Player of the Week!
