Winter Co-ed Volleyball in Southeast PDX Thursdays

Starting out the new season right, with returning team Sloppy Sets, was on it. Their first match was a close one, losing in 3 close games. Jon was playing his usual upbeat game, making plays and having fun.
Their second match again was a close, we'll played match, though they would lose in 3 again. This match Jonathon added a 1 hand block, big time save and some foot juggling before his serve. Good stuff. Keep up the great spirits and great attitude! Even if it's sloppy.

Another fun, well played night of volleyball, at se courts. Teams came ready to play, and some players stayed and played. Molly was having a nice night as a slacker. Making blocks and hits that went for points.
She stayed and played for the 9:00 game and it was the same result. Even when tired she was still making plays and hustling. Nice matches. Keep it up.

The season is winding down, but the fun keeps going. Indy#11 was taking on #teamtobie and there was more than just volleyball. The music was playing, the feet and bodies were dancing, in between plays and games. Joanne was showing some moves and skills on her side of the court.

Always staying positive, clapping and cheering. Add in some nice passes and great communication and it's one heck of a match. Nice job! Keep up the good play and times.

Player of the week this week goes to none other than the hard hitting Amy Juris. But it is not just her skills that get her player of the week, but her positive attitude towards her teammate and opponents. She was a leader for her team this week at the net but was the first to help her teammate in need. Amy kept the spirits high late in the game. Even though High on Spikes went out in the first round of the playoff they did so in a great fashion. It was a close game and a fun one to watch. Amy is surounded by a great group of teammates and they all did a great job tonight. Good job Amy and everyone on High On Spikes. Hope to see you back next season for another run at an Underdog Championship!
