Summer OPEN Softball at Westmoreland Tuesdays (No Gender Rules)

On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Anthony of Humdingers transcended softball with his brilliant performance. All night long, Humdingers turned to Anthony when they needed a big play. Time and time again, Anthony answered the call. Consistently getting on base at the plate and making plays at short stop, Anthony truly brought his A-game. For his outstanding performance, Anthony is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!

Jackie was doing it all for his team on Tuesday at Westmoreland. The playoff spot light was no match for Jackie as he was dominant in both the field and at the plate. Throughout the game, whenever Bombers needed a big hit, Jackie was able to come through for the team. One particular moment stood out with bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th. Jackie hit a hard line drive to right center and was incredibly fast on the bases to leg out an inside the park grand slam. Not only did he get it done at the plate as mentioned, he was making plays all night at 2nd base as well. Again, in particular, was a crazy over the shoulder catch drifting into right and doubling the runner up at first to end the inning. For his all around impressive performance, Jackie is our Player of the Week!
