Summer Softcore/Midcore Co-ed Kickball at Peninsula Park Sunday

Tricia embodied good sportsmanship before, during and after the game. However, Tricia is more than a good sport. She made several outfield catches and one to end a crucial inning late in the game. Tricia also had several strong bunts sending the ball down the first and third base lines like a professional! Through good sportsmanship and aggressive defense Tricia is an asset to her team.

Opening day can be rough- gathering players for the first time, sometimes at a new location, sometimes at a different time than usual. That's why it's good to have a guy like Josh in the league. Josh is a long time team captain and showed up early to chat with the opposition, but when it became clear that a team was gonna be short for the first game, he volunteered himself to sub in.

He played hard that game before returning to the sidelines to chat with the next teams in his division. But then, again, one of the teams came up short. And again, Josh subbed in. Again, he made catches in the outfield and kicked solid base hits.

Most people would be exhausted after two hours of kickball, but not Josh. He stepped up to the plate for the third and final game of the day, this time in his role as a captain, and made lineups, called positions, and played tight defense from the outfield.

As he was walking off the field, he mentioned he had to get over to his softball league. Josh does more in one Sunday than most of us do all week.

Will or as his friends affectionately refer to as "the doctor," is a true scrapper behind the plate. Dr. W made several outs against third baseline bunts to help his team keep the game close. Will impressed everyone when he flawlessly transitioned to pitch the last two innings of the game. Dr. W is not only a great player, he's so positive you can't help but have a smile on your face.
