Our Midcore 2 champs were none other than the Volleyball Junkies. A well known Underdog team that has the attitude to win big when they need to did just that tonight in a close game against Thursdays Tallest team of the season, The Circus.
It was veterans versus rookies in this Midcore 2 Championship Showdown. History repeated itself tonight with another Volleyball Junkies win. They were ready to play tonight. The team was together and ready to earn their first 2014 championship wristband. They will be playing with some confidence now that they have their consecutive bands to sport.
Tonight championship match was all about ball placement and who was looking to see where the other team wasn't. We had hard serving and big blocking tonight to make it a fun match to watch. Both teams gave it their all in games 1 and 2 and we went to a rubber match for game three that the Junkies inched out a win in.
Great job to both teams but High Five to the Junkies for Taking home the championship for Woks Up Thursdays! See you next week, be ready to defend your title!

This was the inaugural season for Do You Dig it with Underdog and they came ready to play. They got their feet under them half way through the season and they were hungry for wins.
Tonight they had to face the Margarita charged veteran Underdog Team - Here for Beer. They played nice on the first game and it was all Here for Beer with the game 1 win. But they put their feet down in the sand and Dug Deep to win games 2 and three by just 5 and 6 points. They did what they had to do to get a win.
Great job tonight Do You Dig It?! they sported their wrist bands well, even while taking celebratory Fireball shots to congratulate themselves on a well deserved championship. Great job to both teams and a big CONGRATS to Do You Dig It?!

Our Midcore championship lined up 2 veteran Underdog Sand Volleyball teams on the center stage court. Both teams came ready to play and earn their spot in Underdog History....Tonight E! put their name in the books.
There couldn't have been a closer game. E! was determinded to win it and they came out strong in game 1 with a 9 point win. But over.net/limetoourmidcore wasn't going to let them walk off the court that easy and they fought back for a great second game. With a couple big hits and well placed serves they forced a game 3 for all the marbles.
It was back and forth for game 3. Each team taking the lead and attempting to sustain it but only at the end of the match did E! pull away ever so slightly and get some great team play going to take home their championship for Thursday Nights.
Great work to both teams and way to show up ready to play and get work done E! Be ready to defend your title next week!
