Spring Co-ed Dodgeball at the Friendly House Wednesdays

The 7:10pm match on opening night between Accidental Awesomeness and Awesome Hardest showcased the skills of a player many opponents have grown to fear over the last couple of seasons at the Friendly House...his name is Miguel Barba, a man whose has become a force on the dodgeball court. Sneaky quick feet, sneaky glue-like hands, sneaky dodging ability, and just plain sneaky in general...guilty on all above charges.
Trailing 2-0 and last man standing at a pivotal point of the match, Miquel found his zone, picking off his opponents one by one and sealing a much needed win for his team. This was a momentum changer, getting his teammates back into a groove and eventual 4-2 victory over a quality opponent in a sure to be competitive Underdog dodgeball season.

Nunchuck Fury's schedule appeared to be a daunting one at the Friendly House tonight...a 7:10pm matchup against perennial powerhouse Ballrats followed by an evening ending battle vs. young guns Wrecking Balls.
While Ballrats got the best of them in their first match, Keith Buisman took it upon himself to make his presence felt and then some in a back and forth battle against the team in red. Simply put, he took his Underdog dodgeballin' skills to a whole new level rarely seen for an entire match...amazing pinpoint accuracy, unbelievable close range catches for outs and stealth like nimbleness. An awesome display of skills that helped propel his team to an impressive 6-2 victory against a quality opponent.

The 7:30 match-up of Nunchuck Fury vs. Awesome Hardest on Wednesday had all the makings of a Friendly House classic between two formidable teams jockeying for playoff position. Both teams didn't disappoint, leaving everything on the court in an exhausting 12 game battle.
Leading the charge was Dejene, also known around the dodgeball circuit as D. Well known for his ownership of the centerline and nimble feet for a big man, Dejene had his feet constantly moving all match long. Whether it was to dodge balls firing across the court or simply trying to catch his breath along the wall, his legs and feet were always on the move. Rumor has it he was also spotted running in place while quenching his thirst at the drinking fountain between matches, mindful that a body at rest tends to stay at rest. Whatever it was, Dejene brought it tonight and inspired his team to a 7-5 victory on a fine night for Underdog dodgeball.
