Competitive and fun!? Is that even possible??
With Adam it is, although the fun side definitely showed the most. This bearded beauty was dancing around all night, both on the court as he was diving for balls and off the court as he was cheering on teammates. His spirit on this opening night was unmatched. His after the game pep talk was unforgettable. Might as well throw this guy in the Underdog hall of fame already.

In his extra, extra, extra medium purple shirt, Andrew always arrives with a smile on his face and is the epitome of what the Underdog attitude should be. His crew may not always win, but boy do they have a great time trying. He's even creative with the tens of Underdog shirts, creating amazing outfits for his four-legged friends.

That guy was KILLING it.
There are kills, then there are KILLS. Tonight, Josh was KILLING it!
In a heated battle, the undermanned (actually, underwomaned) Octothorpes battled perennial powerhouse Gangsta Pair of Dice. After losing the first game, Josh and the crew stepped it up big time. Scrambling for loose balls, and setting with perfection, Josh and the Octothorpes smashed their way to wins in games 2 and 3. Keeping their cool in the heat, the crew left with smiles on their faces. Josh, ice that hand, they're gonna need your KILLS next week.

Every week we ask Monica to keep score and, more importantly, pick a player of the week. She is great at jotting down the numbers, but when it comes to writing down the name of one of her teammates, she struggles. This isn't because she doesn't know how to spell their names. Rather, it's always because she has equal admiration for everyone on her team. "They all played so well." Or "I don't know who to pick, they're all great. This part sucks." This unconditional love and support of all of her teammates is what being a captain is all about.
