Invasive Species

Kim wasn't officially named player of the game for her team in a tough 1-run loss where Invasive Species rallied in the 7th inning but ended coming up just short of the win. However, Kim WAS named Player of the Game in the second game of the day for her when she decided to stick around and help out Kick Ballz and Pound Sand. They would have had to forfeit if it weren't for Kim substituting as their 3rd female and what a job she did! It was the bottom of the 7th inning and it looked like it was going to end up in a 8-8 tie among two teams that were very evenly matched. With two outs and no one on base Kim stepped up to the plate with this being her first day playing kickball but obviously not her first day handling a pressure situation! She booted the ball with a wonderful kick just in the gap behind the 3rd baseman and shortstop. She took 2nd base on that same play with some heads up and aggressive baserunning. With the next batter up, another kick was placed perfectly and Kim rounded third base and made it safely a few steps ahead of the throw! Way to step up and help out another team in more ways than one Kim!
