Balls were thrown, tears were shed, and Shenanigans won big. Key games on the road to the championship included Shenanigans beating Off in the Shower 6-2 which was a nail biter for the first five games then Shenanigans finally took control for the win. Key players in the victory included Jill Noe who played outstanding for Off in the Shower with 10 outs and 3 catches. Shenanigans then played Red Balls Give You Wings in which Rachel Davis had a strong showing for red balls with two last player standing rounds that kept red balls alive. Red Balls finally fell to the Shenanigans overwhelming barrage of balls leg by Josh Lesile who managed to tally 11 outs in the series. Shenanigans then sealed the deal with the last out thrown by Phil for a Shenanigans dodgeball Dynasty.
The Underdog player of the week for the championship week goes to Clare McFawn of Shenanigans. Clare started her career as a successful Indy team player some time ago then signed a contract with Shenanigans which is the New York Yankees of dodgeball teams for four seasons. Clare can now say she has done it all in the dodgeball world. All the countless hours drilling, throwing, catching and taking head shots paid off when Adam Dale of the Red Balls Give You Wings team fired a ballistic laser of a throw that Clare seeming caught with ease. This was the turning point of the series from there on out Shenanigans took control for the victory. Clare finished the night with 7 outs and two catches, a personal record for her and the award of player of the week. Great week Clare!
