Winter Co-Ed Dodgeball Wednesdays at Friendly House

In the game of dodgeball, there is little more exciting than a great catch on a great toss. In Adam's case against Get Outta Dodge, there were not only one, but several amazing catches. Most notable was his jumping dodge, putting the ball directly into his hands and chin. The throw came so hard that he was nearly knocked backwards in the air, but somehow managed to keep a grasp on the ball, holding in between his hands and chin until he hit the ground to the cheers of the onlooking crowd! A-friggin-mazing!

Jill Noe will go down in Wednesday night at the Friendly House dodgeball history as one of the best players to play the game. Jill is the full package; she can throw laser balls, catch the fastest opponent ball and dodge ball like a cat on speed. She has all the skills any A-list dodgeball player should have. And with this skill set she was able to win games for Balls of fury by putting five opponents from Get Outta Dodge on the sidelines on a one versus five victory. Very Nice and congrats on player of the week!

This weeks Underdog Dodgeball player of the week is awarded to Jenifer Heisler of the Powered by Beer team who is a completely beer powered dodgeball club. That previous fact may reflect somewhat on there less than perfect league record but; of all the teams Powered by Beer seems to have the most fun. Jenifer has all the necessary dodgeball skills, she can throw rockets and catch any lob shot flung across the court but this is not why she was selected for player of the week. It's because she plays hard win or lose and has a great time out there with her teammates. Thanks Jenifer for your hard work and you happy go lucky attitude Underdog sports and the league appreciates it.

The Underdog player of the week for the championship week goes to Clare McFawn of Shenanigans. Clare started her career as a successful Indy team player some time ago then signed a contract with Shenanigans which is the New York Yankees of dodgeball teams for four seasons. Clare can now say she has done it all in the dodgeball world. All the countless hours drilling, throwing, catching and taking head shots paid off when Adam Dale of the Red Balls Give You Wings team fired a ballistic laser of a throw that Clare seeming caught with ease. This was the turning point of the series from there on out Shenanigans took control for the victory. Clare finished the night with 7 outs and two catches, a personal record for her and the award of player of the week. Great week Clare!
