First Place

Summer Co-ed Flag Football at Lewis and Clark College Wednesdays

For all the marbles and bragging rights, the co-ed championship game for Underdog Sports League took place under the lights on Wednesday night.
Boom Squad vs Little Frickin' Rascals (indy team) took the field. Many said it was like a battle of The Persian Army vs Sparta.
This game did not disappoint keeping everyone entertained. The crowd would've gone wild if there was one. At halftime the score was 20-7 in favor of Boom Squad, but Little Frickin Rascals kept their heads up and spirits high. When they returned on to the field they scored a quick touchdown narrowing the deficit.
Boom Squad would answer with a touchdown of their own extending the lead and then the Spartans got mad (Little Frickin' Rascals). On offense, they would score a touchdown. But now they were also facing time as their enemy so they made great stops and intercepting the ball 3 times in the 2nd half.
The score 34-33 Boom Squad and Little Frickin Rascals is knocking on the end zone door. Their quarterback scrambles and finds his receiver Kevin Lyu in the end zone for the go ahead touchdown.
Boom Squad now down 39-34 and racing to score with only 1.30 left in the game. They would march up field to get within striking distance, but only to fall short near the end zone as time expired.
You could just imagine the confetti falling from the sky and the cheers of joy as the 1st every Indy team took the championship for Underdog co-ed flag football.
Little Frickin' Rascals were led by Farah for getting the game changing interception and immaculate defensive stops. Congratulations to the Little Frickin' Rascals.

Player of the week

Indy team came together and came up with a name of Little Frickin' Rascals. With that name change came a new structure of playing ball led by Annie Hopfensperger.
She not only asked me to take a roll call for her team, but she lead her team by catching deep passes with the last one culminating in a 60 yard touchdown pass. She ended the game with 150 yards receiving and cheering on her team from the sidelines like a heckler at a comedy show.
She had a giant smile on her face, $10 coupon in hand and this week's player of the week.
