It's rare, but once in a blue moon, your supervisor's just gotta give a Team of the Week award and no team deserves it more for Thursday night at St. Charles Midcore than All About That Ace. The #4 seed in the playoffs scored a 2-1 set match vs. Indy #17 in their first round. Behind Leslie's incredible service and Nathan and Ashley's tips and kills at net, Dan and Christine kept up the defense from the side and the back row. The Aces moved on to play #1 seed Sets on Sets on Sets and kept their forward momentum going cruising to a first game win. Moving on in the bracket wasn't meant to be, however, and the Aces dropped the final two sets. Amazing energy throughout two matches were key and the Aces can walk away from Spring Midcore season with their heads held high for such an incredible performance!
All About That Ace has defense extraordinaire Christine Robins on their side week in and week out. She's a digger and knows how to get her timing just right to provide an up whenever it's within reach - and sometimes out of reach too. The Aces were engaged in an intense match vs. Indy #17 who continued the attack from net with kills. But that didn't slow Christine down in her amazing effort on the defensive side, especially a couple fantastic one arm reaches outside that brought the ball back into play and kept the rallies going. Swings are her strength and Christine Robins has the power and rhythm to bring the goods!
