Notes

First Place

Fall Midcore Co-Ed Volleyball at Fernwood/Beverly Cleary Tuesdays

The score was tied at one game a piece as The Kamikazes vs The E! True Volleyball Story entered the 3rd and final game. With the fans cheering for their team and the players full of sweat, somehow they found a way to play on and the game did not disappoint.
This was a nail bitter down to the end. Both teams trading points through out the game as the players battled for a victory. The game was so close that neither team lead by more than 2 points in the deciding game.
The score now at 20-20 and David from True Volleyball Story charges the net and challenges Mike from Kamikazes. David jumped like a shark out of water to block Mike's spike firing his team up in the process. With that play his team went on a run and had the advantage to win with a 26-25 score. But Thien from The Kamikazes wasn't having that. He mustered through the fatigue to spike it on the next point to tie the game.
It was Julie's serve that flustered E! True Volleyball Story and the excellent double block challenge that The Kamikazes presented on the game point. The E! True Volleyball Story tried to hit the ball over and for a split second the gym got silent and all hearts stopped as the ball landed out of bounds. The final score 29-27 with The Kamikazes as the victor.

Pancakes...Anyone

Skills, skills, skills, and more skills. That is exactly what this player has, and a pretty sweet head band as well.

He was flying through the air like superman to smash bombs on his opponents. He served like a machine, aces and flying whistles one right after another.

The best play by far for the ENTIRE night was his pancake.... no it was not a pancake from Denny's but a good ol' fashion volleyball pancake.

Mike through his body on the ground and stretched his hand out and the ball bounced off his hand and up into their for his teammates to continue the intense rally. If you blinked you would of missed it. Great play Mike!!!
